Mauricio Ibáñez, musician, songwriter, arranger, guitar player and producer from Santiago, Chile. His musical influences draw from the alternative and progressive rock realms. "Shades of Light & Darkness" is an album that showcases different musical genres and moods. It relates to different aspects of human life such as the sense of wonder, growing up, longing for a long lost friend, dealing with a troubled relationship, success and failure, dealing with insomnia, the immensity of the universe, fighting for your dreams and more. Each one of the songs inhabits a unique sound world. Some songs are lighter in tone and others darker, hence the title Shades of Light & Darkness.
