Riversea is the musical team of Marc Atkinson (vocals) and Brendan Eyre (synths/programming).
"The Tide" is the follow up to "Out Of An Ancient World", the bands debut album, and the duo are again complimented on project by some fine musicians and friends.

Flav Martin & Jerry Marotta

World renowned drummer Jerry Marotta has performed with Paul McCartney, Hall & Oats, The Indigo Girls, Sarah MacLachlan, and John Mayer to name but a few plus a decade of performing and recording with Peter Gabriel.
Credited as one of the most innovative acoustic guitar players on the scene, Flav Martin blends beautiful melodies with intricate technique, voicing, and a percussive style.

Soul Redemption is the debut release from singer/song writer Flav Martin and drummer Jerry Marotta. The duo harmoniously blends modern adult rock with traditional world pop. Whether performed in a cafe in Italy or on the polo fields of Indio, these songs would feel comfortably at home in either environment.
Innovative acoustic guitarist Flav Martin teamed up with long time friend Jerry Marotta to deliver a solid album that showcases Flav’s strength as a singer-songwriter and vocalist. Seven of the nine songs on Soul Redemption were penned by Flav. Standout tracks are “Soul Redemption“, “Please” and the infectious “Rio De Janiero“. The traditional Italian ballad “Coffee Song (Cosa Hai Messo Nel Caffè)” captures Flav and Jerry’s Italian roots.
Fans of Peter Gabriel will delight as Jerry Marotta and Tony Levin (bass), the rhythm section of his classic line-up, reunite for the backbone of this album. Also backing up the duo are their long time friends Peter Primamore (piano), Thor Jensen (guitar), Marc Shulman (guitar), and Gary Schreiner (harmonica/accordion).

Outstanding debut album by Joseph McDade from Albany, New York. Much more as this was his senior project at the College of Saint Rose.

Kayanis

Robert Reed

The third album in Robert Reed’s acclaimed Mike Oldfield influenced Sanctuary series of releases displays more of Rob's own inventive musical quirks. Produced, mixed and engineered by Reed, who plays most of the instruments himself, Sanctuary III features legendary drummer Simon Phillips, and also contains contributions from recorder player Les Penning, and the Tubular Bells production team of Tom Newman and Simon Heyworth.

Karibow

Karibow was founded by Oliver Rüsing in late 1996. After a long musical development from AOR to melodic progressive rock, the band was eventually rewarded with the German Rock & Pop Award in the "Best Arrangement" category (2011) and again in 2014 for "Best Progressive Band". In 2017 The band won the Akademia Award for "Best Rock Song". In 2016 Karibow toured Germany together with Saga.

"The Unchosen" is the 20th anniversary album by award-winnning German progressive rock band Karibow featuring over 71 minutes of previously unreleased, re-recorded powerful melodic music from 2010 to 2017.

IOEarth

 “Solitude” is IO Earth’s new studio album.

The follow-up to their critically acclaimed “New World”, it returns to a single disk format and will have a very pronounced theme dealing with the struggles of mental illness and depression. As always though, while the music may address darker issues, it will also consist of uplifting and beautiful melodies, giving the overall feeling of hope and redemption.

Rausch

At long last, Rausch release their second full-length album; "Book II". Heavy-hitting contributions come from the likes of Mark Zonder (Fates Warning), Ryo Okumoto (Spock's Beard) and second Shadow Gallery mainstay, guitarist Brendt Allman. Picking up where the s/t debut left off, it remains painfully vulnerable and autobiographical of the band's trials and tribulations along the way. Things are "even more deep and dark" this time, observes the returning Rich Mouser who (along with Bumblefoot) applauds the "Queen-on-steroids" diversity running throughout. Lead-off single "Greener Grass" is adventurous and catchy; "Irked" at times flirts with jazz; "The End" is a nearly 10-minute atmospheric musical tapestry picking right up where Pink Floyd left off; the head-splitting "Speechless" shows the band clashing with Metallica-sized demons; and joining "Good Day" is 2nd Ivory-produced track "Swansong" which, by notable contrast, offers a glimpse of something completely unexplored up until now: optimism.

Violent Attitude If Noticed

The musical background of the band may vary a lot. It is possible to identify influences of jazz, bossa nova, blues, post punk, new wave, art rock, electro, hard rock and progressive rock. All these elements summed together result in V.A.I.N.'s music. It's not uncommon to hear quiet and mellow sounds changing into what may appear to be a sudden nightmare. "Ourselves and Otherwise" is their latest album released August 1, 2017.

Johnny Bob

Eine interessante Mischung haben die Norddeutschen da in Form gebracht, auf "Carnival of the Brahma-Sox" erwartet uns melodischer Artrock mit progressiven Elementen.
In der von dem Autoren Hannes Moorhahn stammenden Kurzgeschichte geht es um eine Gruppe Aliens – die Brahma-Sox -, welche einen Jahrmarkt infiltrieren und dort Johnny Bobs Freundin entführen. Nun muss sich Johnny den Prüfungen der außerirdischen Gestaltwandler stellen, um seine Angebetete wieder zu erlangen. Dabei begegnet er Verbündeten, Verdammten und Weltzerstörern wie dem Ariola Tellerwäscher, der Katze Mad Jazz oder Ringer Beelzebubba, um im Finale dem Schrei eines Schmetterlings zu folgen, der das Tor in eine andere Dimension öffnet, in die Johnny Bob die Brahma-Sox mit Hilfe des Ulumulu Totems verbannt.
Die Aufnahmen zum zweiten Johnny Bob Album "Fjodor and the Watergiant" haben bereits im Mai 2017 begonnen...man darf gespannt sein.

Isproject

Isproject from Andria, Italy, a post-progressive rock duo formed in 2013 by Ivan Santovito and Ilenia Salvemini. The debut album "The Archinauts was released on September 29th, 2017.

Xanima is a dramatic and visual artrock band from Stockholm, Sweden. Their music is a combination of progressive-rock- electronica with symphonic elements.

Himmellegeme

From the dark psychedelic shadows of Bergen, Himmellegeme emerges with their unique bittersweet flavored debut album "Myth of Earth". With their heavy-hitting riffs, chilling melodies and melancholic lyrics, written both in Norwegian and English, Himmellegeme creates music that depicts past events in their own lives, as well as in the lives of others.

Alan Lennon

Alan Lennon is a guitar player from Ireland.

A few years back he released a solo guitar album "Heaven's Call" that has been compared to Joe Satriani and others of that genre.

 "Tempus" is his second record and it's a very different affair.

The music on Tempus is very symphonic and I would compare it to some of the original musical scores for the Cirque Du Soleil. Another acceptable reference would be Ennio Morricone's soundtrack suite for the movie The Mission. Also, because of the large presence of female voices, Enya comes to my mind. Altough I started this review by making corelations with well known artists and composers, Tempus does have its unique signature. One obvious reason for this his Alan Lennon's guitar playing. He is a great performer and I cannot help myself from thinking of Steve Hackett. All the grandeur and emotion I find in Hackett's playing I also get from Lennon. He also, at times, adds some Metal to his sound and this really gives extra power to the music. Quality wise the performances and production are up there with the best and the music remains interesting from beginning to end. No fillers on this album. If you are into the music of the artists I mentioned in this review, or Symphonic Rock music in general (like for example Dream Theater's The Astonishing), Tempus is an album you will want to get. Impressive stuff indeed!!!
