Josh Garrels

Josh Garrels is a singer-songwriter, hip-hop, pop producer, and orchestral folk composer from South Bend, Indiana.

His music combines traditional folk music with other musical elements and the nontraditional exploration of Christian themes. He currently lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and three children. Since 2005 he has co-founded the record label, Small Voice Records and released the albums: "Over Oceans", "Jacaranda", "Lost Animals" and "Home". Garrels released his sixth album in June 2011 titled Love & War & The Sea In Between. In 2012, Garrels collaborated with the music collective Mason Jar Music to film the music-documentary movie "The Sea In Between" in which Mason Jar and Josh traveled to the remote Mayne Island, BC to perform music on several of Mayne's most beautiful locations.

Nine Stones Close

Nine Stones Close was conceived in 2008 as a solo project by Adrian Jones (Numb, Lie Big, Jet Black Sea).
The first album, "St Lo", was independently released in the Netherlands. The project grew into a band for "Traces" when Adrian was joined by Brendan Eyre (Riversea), Marc Atkinson (Mandalaband, Riversea) and Neil Quarrell. "One Eye on the Sunrise" saw a further evolution of the band with returning members Marc Atkinson and Brendan Eyre now joined by Peter Vink on bass (Q65/Ayreon/Star One/Finch) and on drums Pieter van Hoorn (Knight Area).

In 2016 a new line up was announced, with Adrian Jones and Pieter van Hoorn now joined by vocalist Adrian (Aio) O'Shaughnessy (Psychic For Radio, Frame Shift), Christiaan Bruin on keyboards (Sky Architect, Mayra Orchestra) and Peter Groen on bass. And here's the new album "Leaves".

Preacher

Preacher is a six piece rock band from Glasgow/Ayr in the United Kingdom that’s been making quite a name for themselves thanks to their stunning live shows and studio albums.

Preacher’s distinctive sound is a sparkling blend of melodic rock and crossover prog with subtle hints of David Bowie and Pink Floyd thrown in for good measure. Their stunning debut album "Signals" in many ways paid homage to the classic conceptual approach of crafting an album based around a single theme or ‘concept’ championed by bands such as Pink Floyd, Yes and King Crimson in their heyday and more recently with the likes of Radiohead opting for a similar aesthetic. 

Their follow up album "Aftermath" was no different in this respect, as again, a concept was at the heart of the album, however, this time aesthetically, the band ventured into newer territory and importantly, they matured alongside it.  The "Aftermath" album sounds fantastic.

Preacher

20last Century

Ein felsenfestes Rockfundament ist die Grundlage von 20last Century, dazu mischen sie Reggae-, Funk-, und Folk-Elemente. Mit einer Prise Revolution in den Texten ergibt das ein extrem kontrastreiches Set. Live wird mit voller Kraft aufs Gas gedrückt, um dann plötzlich alternative Klangwelten zu erschaffen. Stilsicher und experimentierfreudig produzieren sie Songs, die überraschen und eingehen. Sie nehmen die Musik ernst, nicht aber sich selbst. Auch gesellschaftskritischere Texte kommen mit einem Augenzwinkern daher.

 

Die vier Musiker Bernhard Kuzel, Pete Ionian, Ralph Suppan und Gopal Aberer aus Vorarlberg spielen seit 2013 in dieser Formation. Neues Material wird von allen gemeinsam erarbeitet, manche Songs begleiten sie aber auch schon seit Jahren. Die Musiker konnten im Ländle bereits mit Bands wie Out Of Frame, Slang, Harris Haare, Karamasow oder Parasol auf sich aufmerksam machen. Nun wurden die Kräfte gebündelt, um ein neues, eigenständiges Zeitalter einzuläuten: 20last Century.
